چکیده

This study examines the thermal performance of a two-dimensional borehole system, featuring U-shaped pipe embedded in porous soil, through application computational fluid dynamics. The investigation encompasses 24 cases, assessing impact various factors such as soil conductivity (k = 1.5, 1.84, 2 W/mK), average temperature (T 280-285 K), and moisture content (10%-55%) on ice formation heat transfer enhancement. k-ε turbulence model Darcy-Forchheimer are employed for medium, respectively. Furthermore, solidification is utilized to monitor potential within system. findings reveal that an increase enhances between while simultaneously reducing formation. Additionally, higher levels lead elevated outlet decreased soil. Lastly, it observed becomes negligible when reaches 285 K.

Scaling in Geothermal Heat Pump Systems

INTRODUCTION Water quality is a frequently overlooked issue in the application of geothermal heat pump (GHP) systems. When considered at all, is often viewed as a problem unique to open loop systems. In residential open loop applications water is supplied directly to the heat pump’s refrigerant-to-water heat exchanger. If the water has a tendency to be scale forming, fouling of the heat exchang...

Literature Review on the Calculation of Vertical Ground Heat Exchangers for Geothermal Heat Pump Systems

The calculation of Ground Heat Exchanger (GHE) performance is very important for predicting the performance and estimating the initial cost of geothermal heat pump systems. In North America it is estimated that on average GHE are oversized by about 10% ~ 30%. A vertical Ground Heat Exchanger (VGHE) is most common because of its smaller environmental influence and land field requirement. This pa...
